Judgment Comes [4:26]  [lyrics]
Yes, the day of God's judgment has been preached for such a lot of centuries that it has become a cultural artifact, yet that doesn't mean it isn't coming. It is, and it is coming soon. You will see things in our world soon become desperate, out of control, and the time of trouble (prophesied by God) will be ushered in with a new world order. This time of tribulation comes just before Jesus returns with God's judgment. Please, make yourself ready. Trust in Jesus' sacrifice to make you acceptable to God. Choose to trust that Jesus paid for all of your sins that alienate you from God, and come into an intimacy with God.

Like Tea From a Cup [6:23]  [lyrics]
Esmeralda is a symbol for the part of my heart that is obsessed with an idea she views as wonderful, but in reality is vain, and unworthy of her. The man (mentality she is obsessed with, cares less than nothing for her. In this song, I view Jesus as breaking the hold of this obsession and freeing my heart to embrace a more worthy hope. In non-symbolic terms, the unworthy hope was a hope that God would do something in particular for me. This particular hope came to be my hope because of past unresolved wounds, disappointments. Jesus did free me, and this website is part of the outcome of that freedom.

Me Thinks [5:09]  [lyrics]
The whore is a symbol of our heart of self-righteous legalism (which is self-governance) that God, in his faithfulness will judge.

Meekest Little Creature [2:58]  [lyrics]
Although this song is allegorical, I think it is fairly obvious in it's meaning. The meekest lamb conquers all my fear.

Nom De Guerre [3:47]  [lyrics]
This song is one of many, which are about me facing up to some area of pride within my soul. Nom De Guerre is a French expression which, literally should be translated- name of war, or war name. This expression referred to the practice of men of giving themselves fictitious names while they were away at war, so as to cover their misdeeds. In other words, it is an alias. In this song, this expression is especially useful in as much as I am facing up to a hubris, (an over identification with some role, and thus a false identity), which I have developed in an attempt to defend myself from the harsh misjudgments of others (which is where the conflict/war comes in). It became clear to me, by God’s grace, that this false over-identification was more important to me than my identity in Jesus Christ, and that, as long as I held on to it, I was not free to walk in my identity of being hid in Christ. My life was becoming increasingly about the question of who I was, and less, and less, about who Jesus is. God’s conviction is always very liberating, and this liberated me to resume loving the group of believers I was fellowshipping with at the time. My fear of their judgment no longer held me captive. I was free to love them, and that was real power, and life.

This Day of Sunlight Comes [4:40]  [lyrics]
God turned my mourning into gladness with the moment of comfort this song is recounting. I had been feeling so useless, having been going through a long wilderness period in my life, in which God kept me from being very productive. God came to me, in my sorrow, and showed me, with very clear memories, all that He has done through me (inspite of my very clay-like consistency, to help others. I was, and still am right now, very comforted, and humbled by that glimpse of God's grace, and loving-kindness to me, in using this total loser.
